Step 1: Production Kick-off
Upon order confirmation, your project is assigned to a dedicated project manager. We meticulously review your CAD files and manufacturing requirements one last time before programming our state-of-the-art CNC machines and other equipment.
Step 2: A Multi-Stage Quality Control Process
At Protofirster, quality is our highest priority. We implement a comprehensive, multi-stage QC process to guarantee that every component we produce is a perfect match for your design.
- Raw Material Inspection (.IQC - Incoming Quality Control):
- We start by verifying all incoming raw materials. Material certificates are checked to ensure the grade, composition, and properties match your order specifications (e.g., verifying a batch of Aluminum 6061-T6).
- First Article Inspection (FAI):
- The very first part produced from a new setup is subjected to a full-dimensional and visual inspection. We use precision instruments like CMMs (Coordinate Measuring Machines), calipers, and micrometers to verify every critical dimension against your drawing. Production does not proceed until the FAI is passed and approved.
- In-Process Quality Control (IPQC):
- Our operators and QC inspectors conduct regular checks at critical stages throughout the manufacturing run. This allows us to catch any potential deviations early, preventing waste and ensuring consistency across the entire batch, whether it's 10 pieces or 1,000.
- Final Quality Assurance & Reporting (FQA/OQA):
- Before packaging, every part undergoes a final, 100% visual and dimensional inspection. We check for surface finish quality, burrs, and conformity to all specifications.
- Upon request, we can provide a comprehensive Quality Inspection Report with your shipment, detailing the measurement results for critical dimensions.
